nwBuilt designs and builds thoughtful, energy efficient homes in the Pacific Northwest using our Smart Green approach. We love where we live. And with deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, nwBuilt is committed to providing a responsible solution to our region’s housing needs.

nwBuilt was founded in 2010 by Keith Hammer with the goal of designing and building sustainably located and energy efficient homes that will stand the test of time. Leveraging his family’s longstanding roots in the local Real Estate Industry and his comprehensive construction background, Keith is continuing the family’s Real Estate tradition through building Smart Green homes in the Pacific Northwest. See Our Work

Keith’s passion for building surfaced at a young age while maintaining properties for NW Investment Co. – a family business. After earning degrees in Business Management, Construction Engineering and an MBA, Keith spent the next decade working in countless areas of the industry, from commercial to residential, land development to sustainable building, management to operations.

We Build “Smart Green”

We feel where we build is as important as how we build.

You will find nwBuilt homes are built in established neighborhoods with existing lots, where streets, water and sewer are already in place. Neighborhoods are always walkable and near employment centers with mass transit options. This is the most environmentally friendly approach of where to build.

We believe in building Smart. And Green. Not to build Green for Green’s sake. Year’s of experience has taught us what works (and doesn’t work). This is how we build. And what really counts. It all starts in our involvement at the commencement of design.

PRIORITY 1: Thoughtful, experienced based design that keeps the building effective and efficient.

PRIORITY 2: Build a super energy efficient building envelope.

PRIORITY 3: Keep it simple. Spec proven systems for heating, ventilation and efficient energy/water use.
